I checked with the book dealers; "Mega War of the Worlds" isn't going to come out until November! We'll barely have time to get it for Christmas, assuming we have that much time.

Lol!
I've heard of lots of sequels, and many of them haven't had good reviews..
I'd quite like to read one of these sequels, though..

Well, H.G. Wells didn't die until about 1947, and there are still millions of people around who were alive then. Just look at the number of surviving World War II vets alone. Actor Bob Hope was an adult doing work during the 1930s, and he only died last year. The original movie version of "King Kong" came out in 1933, and star Fay Wray died less than a year ago. This guy might be pulling our collective legs, but it's more than possible that one of us could meet someone who knew H.G. Wells, at least during his final years.

There can't be many novels that have had such a powerfull influence on so many people and genres, covering Art, film, literature, music and I'm sure many, many more. just the other day I bought an album called, 'Pepper's Ghost' by Arena. on one of the songs 'Purgatory Road' the Chorus starts,
"I'm here to stay- till the Martians land on London Town,
Won't fade away- till the science world takes cancer down.........."

Update on "Mega War of the Worlds": After it was cancelled, somebody else apparently put it out. Check my thread in the "Miscellaneous" section for details.
