What is your favourite movie of all time?

I think the original Matrix is still top of my list...

That is a hard one, I have many films I like a lot. I think probably 'ALIENS' is a winner for me. I have it on DVD but I still watch it when it comes on TV. sad or what.

Difficult. In Sci Fi genre it is Logan's Run.

Fantasy - King Kong (origional)

Drama - One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest.

Historical - Zulu.

Comedy - The Laurel and Hardy one when they are fixing the boat. can't remember the title but it busts my ribs.

Animation - The Iron Giant.

Silent - Metropolis

That was Towed in a Hole. I've got that film, and I also like that, just like Scram!, Big Business, Busy Bodies, Helpmates, Brats, Night Owls, Blotto, County Hospital, Twice Two, The Music Box, Them Thar Hills and Tit for Tat. It's so funny how Oliver can look in that camera, and that they make mistakes one after the other. Here are Oliver's two most famous quotes:

"Why don't you do something to help me?"
"Well, here's another nice mess you've got me into!"

I also use that 'tic', you know, when they make a nod after they pulled a trick on either each other or someone else.

The Lord of the Rings was fantastic indeed! My mother currently owns the entire Triology on video and it has also one or two DVDs of it! :D \:D/

If you like the theatrical version, you should check out the extended versions. But only if you like and are deeply interested in the story.

I have all three extended versions on DVD. When I heard that Saruman (Cristopher Lee) was going to be in the extended version of The Return of the King, I thought they were going to kill him off in the same way as in the book =D> but they didn't
Great films though. Gollum was a real show stealer =D>

If I remember right the chapter is called 'The Scouring of the Shire' When the Hobbits return to Hobbiton, only to find a sinister character called Sharky has taken over, this is of course Saruman out for a bit of revenge.

Yes. Yes it was. I found it a big accomplishment to actually create a small army of WILLING hobbits.

Best scene in the movie was when the Mouth of Sauron came out. Best. Scene. In that movie. Ever. =D>

The Bits with the Olaphants made me weep. And When Theoden was mortally wounded by the Ring Wraith I balled like a girl!

If that got you going, I can only wonder about the Grey Havens scene...

I was off last evening since 20:25 Dutch Time (7:25 pm), since one of my favorite movies, entitled: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, was on tv. It was an extended version of the original movie.

My mother loves the first music scene where the Ugly guy (Tuco) searche4d for the grave of Arch Stanton, where $200.000 in gold was hidden (turned to be the Unknown grave next to it).

Yes a good scene and an important one to the story, they should have left it in the theatrical version
Did you know the "The Mouth of Sauron" was played by Bruce Spence, who played the The Gyro Captain from the Mad Max films? an under rated actor.
