My faith is restored, and I'm sure everyone elses will be. This looks to be a very frightening story, which is great.

Can't wait till March now.

:afro:

Caesar raises the thumb! Its allowed to live!
How to make a tripod:
1. Take a small wooden toy wheel (cheap in hobby stores)
2. Take three nails.
3. Figure the rest out yourself.
Pretty crazy.

Can't say my faith in PP is completely restored, but these shots are encouraging, much more so than the trailer. The handling machine looked pretty good; does anyone know if that is a finished shot from the movie or is it concept art? It looks sort of like a painting (a detailed painting, though - meant that in a good way). If that's the look they've got for the Martian technology then I heartily approve and hope they put up more shots like this soon. Would still like to see a full-fledged tripod! I think it would actually increase interest in their film rather than give too much away.

:alien32:

Well, what a surprise. Those images are very respectable and is that the Thunderchild on that monitor screen?

This certainly raises (my) expectations for the picture. I just hope they achieve a credible interaction between the cgi world and the real world.

I think all the doubters are going to be kicking themselves, every new picture i see from pendragon makes me think that this is going to be the one to see ( after the jeff wayne cgi version, but i said that ages ago)..

I'm impressed by the photos...Is that a Windows PC running the CGI renders of the Thunderchild?

Looks like a Windows PC to me. Judging by the monitor, keyboard and mouse. Doesn't look like MAC stuff....

Thats pretty cool then. Usually Macs and the like seem to be the CGI rendering platform of choice...

I hate to nitpick, but is anyone else curious as to why these set of images are on every site except Pendragon's? Despite how much I enjoy these new images, that's just been bugging me.

Personally, by looking at their site, I really dont think Pendragon's priorities at this point lie with their website, which is just fine with me. I'd rather they keep working on WOTW, and giving us the teaser stills, etc

The Handling Machine looks pretty cool although i thought it might be a bit more robust than the image shown.I wonder if thats to do with Jeff Waynes image of them in the Dead London pic that i grew up with.MMMmmmmmm!........i wonder. :alien32:

That's got to be a handling machine. It has the arms and hands, as well as more than 3 legs, thereby eliminating it as a "tri-pod"

the tripods have handling equipment too - they carry trees around and pick up people and throw them at stuff. however i failed to spot the fourth leg there so i guess thats gotta be the handling machine.

Its definately a handling machine because it looks just like the one i test drove at the Mars Cars Show on Cydonia last year.Although i might add that i've noticed some new mods on it and would presume that this is just the manafactureres attempt at keeping abreast of the market.

while i was at the show i asked for a go of a fighting machine but apparently you have to be military personnel to get a test drive.Bummer!
