THE GUARDIAN - 25th June - Friday Review
By DJ Taylor & Margaret Atwood
Got a week to go on this one chaps, but it's a good un.
THE GUARDIAN will be featuring a 3 page spread about The War Of The Worlds next Friday on the 25th. The indepth review looks into the world phenomenon that is TWOTW and talks about H.G.Wells, the original novel, the new Spielberg film, Jeff Wayne's musical, the 53 George Pal film and the famous Orson Welles radio play.
The feature which I have just been sent is good and gives readers a look into the orginal story that took hold of not only the world of science fiction but also captavated the Victorian readers.
Images include still from the Spielberg film, Alvim Correa, Jeff Waynes album, 53 film and Orson Welles broadcast and H.G himself.

At last. My morning delivery of the Guardian finds a purpose apart from the excellent moderate politcal debate and the impressive sport pages on a Saturday morning.

I'd remove Thomas the Tank Engine from your arse if I was you, it'll play havoc with your sleep.
