What classic sci-fi programme or movie would you choose to have remade?

Not exactly a remake, but I wish they would do a "follow up" to John Carpenters THE THING.
Without doubt one of my favourite SF films of all time.
Kurt Russel still looks good now for his age, so they could still set it a short time after the original.
The effects would be pretty spectacular today.
The spiderhead creature in particular.

...Or a big budget LIVE action version of Dan Dare...That would be really good to see.
Still smoking his pipe and everything!
Of course that wouldn't be allowed today.

I love the Crysalids. There is a childrens play floating around but it is bad, bad, bad.
I'd like to see Dan Dare too, Pipe an all.
I think Judge Dredd but done properly. Never see his face and get the Dark Judges in there.

Didn't he just. And no romance. Judges are not aloud to have sex. They get sent to Titan for 20 years for that.
He's a cop, jury and judge, lets see him just fight crime on the mean streets of Mega City One.

Oh yes, lets not forget that. I was so disapointed in the Stalone version. They got it so wrong and buried what could have been a very lucrative British franchise.

There were the odd time he took it off but the artist always had his face obscured by shadow or a bandage.
Clint Eastwood would have been great. Even now.

I'd like to see a modern-day remake of Gorgo (1960). Basically, it's British monster movie (clearly inspired by the early Godzilla movies from Japan) in which a couple of deep-sea salvage experts discover that a small island in the Irish sea is being menaced by a forty foot tall dinosaur-like sea monster.
They manage to capture the beast, and ship it back to London, where it's named 'Gorgo' and put on display to the public in a specially built enclosure in Battersea. Eventually, scientists examine the creature and report that it appears to be a baby...
Things then get really interesting when Gorgo's mum shows up. And she's HUGE (big though he is, Gorgo at full scretch barely measures up to her ankle). She's also - quite understandably - extremely pissed off.
I won't spoil the rest of the film for you, except to say that the Royal Navy and various London landmarks receive a right good kicking. I'd love to see this film remade with a large budget.

I saw this just the once as a kid. It was heavely advertized and hyped up and I couldn't wait for it to show.
I don't think it should be remade though, as good as it was, because I think stories have moved on from that particular genre.

Actually, I think "Gorgo" is a better film than almost any of the Godzilla films. I've love to see remakes of it, "The Giant Behemoth", and "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms".
