Perhaps its only me, but I think its a little messy.

How to make a tripod:
1. Take a small wooden toy wheel (cheap in hobby stores)
2. Take three nails.
3. Figure the rest out yourself.

Pretty crazy.

Well, it looks pretty slick, but it's kind of "style over substance." Not a lot of really new content. There is the survival game which I haven't tried yet, but aside from that most of it seems to be just stuff we've seen before, or minor variations of it. Of course it's good they finally have it all in one site and better organized. I guess I won't be happy until I get a glimpse of the tripods or the NotMartians, but that's not likely to happen until the movie comes out. That is pretty much on line with Spielberg's history - you didn't see any shots of the shark in Jaws until after the movie was out; same with the spaceships/aliens in Close Encounters and, I believe, the dinos in Jurassic Park. At least we finally have some updates from Paramount and Pendragon. Hopefully more goodies will keep trickling out as the respective release dates get closer. For now I've been having fun checking out all the new Star Wars toys with my son. Makes me wish more than ever that I'd kept all my old figures from the first two movies (had a whole dresser drawer full of them and I got rid of them all in a garage sale when I was in high school - stupid stupid stupid!

I had most of the star wars and Empire figures and I swapped them all for Tank Command, regretted it emediatly and then swapped Tank Command for a big tin of plastic soldiers

If you ever have kids it would be great to go up there and let them discover them.

Oh I don't know about that. The fact that they don't know what they are will be the interest. Humans, especially children are curious. And those space ships are interesting designs.<br />I'm always going into my local comic shops and seeing toys and figures from things I know nothing about and getting interested in them because they intrigue me. I remember seeing the South Park toys for ages before knowing about South Park and getting interested in them.
