This is for those that like myself collect The War Of The Worlds memorabilia. Since 1897, there has been a whole host of various items based around or with a direct connection with H.G Wells now famous novel of a Martian invasion upon the English countryside. With the release of the Paramount Pictures (2005), Jeff Wayne Music (2007) and Pendragon Pictures (2005) movies based around the novel, there is now better time for the collector to start adding new and old items to there collection.

This is a basic guide spread over a period of what was availible, what is availible and what is coming availible in the collectors world of The War Of The Worlds.

THE WAR OF THE WORLDS COLLECTIBLE'S - Part Five

The H.G. Wells Scrapbook

Edited By Peter Haining
Publised by New English Library
Printed - 1978
Hard Back - Dust Jacket
Pages - 144
Lavishly Illustrated - Black & White

Lavishly illustrated through out, this wonderful volumn is a celebration of the work of H.G. Wells featuring much articles, essays, letters, anecdotes, illustrations, photographs and memorabilia about the prophetic genius of the late nineteenth and early twentieth cetury's.

The books contents has a huge range of illustrations from period journals, and incluing many images well known by many H.G. Wells fans, showing scenes from many of his works that include The Time Machine, The War Of The Worlds, The First Men In The Moon, The Invisible Man, The Island Of Dr Moreau, When The Sleeper Awakes and many many more.

His classic novel The War Of The Worlds (1898) graces many pages with some large chapters about the book, film (1953), comics, serialisations and collectibles - all with many illustrations incluing the now famous Warwick Goble renderings from 1897.

The book is a worth while addition to not only any H.G.Wells collection, but also The War Of The Worlds, but be warned, its getting a scarce volumn to find.

H_C
http://www.waroftheworldsonline.com
