A new message, just in this afternoon.

Dear Mr. Keller,

Here's a small piece for public information.

The theatrical trailer just released, which replaced the one pulled due to respect for our Southeast Asian distributors, will be circulated in theaters late February with tweaks and adjustments to FX and timing. Thanks to all for your feedback. It has been instructive and much appreciated. Two new trailers with completed FX will be be released to theaters beginning circulation in late February and early March. Early March will also see new television trailers which will be broadcast in the U.S. and select countries. Thank you all for your support.

Best regards,

Timothy Hines
Director, H.G. WELLS' THE WAR OF THE WORLDS

Timothy Hines
C.E.O. It's interesting how my point of view changes from time to time about this film.. Just days ago I was sure that I didn't want to see this movie, and now, I am really looking forward to see it! Hope you don't blow this Timothy Hines!

That is great news, indeed! If he's got Asian distributors, as well, and trailers airing on TV, maybe he has a bigger budget than we all thought? If so, maybe theres a chance this movie might actually make it to some theaters (I'm skeptical about a wide release on a zillion screens, which im sure the Cruise/Speilberg version will have), but maybe in some of the local Speciality or Arthouse theaters....In any case, I'm definitely looking forward to it!

well I hate to day I told you so but.... I told you so. I'm a graphic designer and I know a low res / unfinnished textured render when I see one. (or serveral )

Anyway I think the movie is looking great and I think that it's wonderful that Tim isn't afraid to show us some unfinnished stuff to keep our appetites wetted. I rekon he's laughing behind the backs off the people fussing and worrying over the effects and wants us to all be worrying over it - it's a great way to create hype and I think were all going to get into the cinema slightly dishearted but determined to see what he's created and then he's gonna blow us all away with the final finished product!!!! Let's hope so eh???

Tim, your doing a great job and you have my undying respect, I know this movie is going to be awsome!!!!
Move on be brave, don't weep at my grave, because I am no longer here, But please never let your memory of me disappear.

He probably just used the money that he 'gathered' from the first DVD release to finish the film. That, or he found some sort of sponsor...

Well, I keep on adding sound effects to my standard actions. Keep clicking on the gold-coloured actions to hear the sound.

Is that possible, could something so perfect be made better? Will I need new eyes to take it all in? Will my senses overload and blow my brains out through my ears?
