I have some constructive criticism about 242 and 243

You have the "walker" in both shots and it is moving away but the legs are in exactly the same position. You need to alter that. Comic fans will pick up on that. You lose the sense of movement and it looks lazy on the artist behalf.

It is lazy it's the same walker only a bit smaller and darker, I'll probably alter it before I re-post it over on CBR.
I'm surprised you've made no comment about the spelling mistake on 243, you missed a perfect opportunity there.

Shes wearing heat resistant gloves because those cylinders are still red hot and shes not stupid like the others, shes the science and medical officer and will play a large part in the future and cause one of the biggest tragedy of the "accidental invasion".

Sure, pleased to get any advice, my knowledge of comics (sorry, Graphic novels) ended back in the early 80's with '2000ad' and 'Heavy Metal'.

Another terrific segment! What's with the "mother" bit, though? Is one of the original gang Sharon's "mother"? (Remember, in the original novel, the Martians were asexual creatures that reproduced without sex, by budding. Come to think of it, that would mean that none of them are actually male or female as we understand it, and the names wouldn't mean anything. "Sharon" could actually be speaking in a rough macho voice, for example, while Bob, Kenny, and the other "guys" could have feminine voices, quite the opposite of what we've all been imagining so far.)

Don't believe Wells' version, he was paid by our Government to paint the Martians blacker than black, and his version would be the only story we knew if a Top secret document hadn't been thrown away rather than incinerated.
This document is a translation of the Captain's log, Bob's personal diary and Sharon's scientific and medical records.
As soon as the Government realised the documents had not been destroyed they placed a 'D' notice on any material pertaining to the true account of the invasion, this would stop any Newspaper publishing anything in the missing documents. These documents were bought by my father in 1992 at a car-boot sale in Hemel Hempstead for 50 pence, they have remained hidden since then but I felt the world should know the truth at last, if I just posted the contents of the documents on the Internet the Government would soon track me down but by posting segment of the story in a comic strip form I was hoping it couldn't be easily detected, so far it's worked
And yes the Captain is female and Sharon's mother, which is why I couldn't call the Captain Stan as 'Klaatu' wanted me to.
And yes Martians do reproduce by budding off but it is the females that do the budding.

Have to go now as someones hammering on my door and shouting something through my letter box. it sounds like "Open up or we'll kick it in" I wonder what this could be about?

Prison planet eh. does that mean the human race are prisoners?

Yes every creature from the lowest bacteria to the largest blue whale, all Prisoners for their antisocial behaviour, except cats who are our prison warders and the custodians of Earth.
But the worst of the lot (as Dirk said) are the Penguins, never turn your back on a penguin especially if it's got a 'Plasma rifle in the 20w range'.
