I think he may change the Ulla's. What works in amusical concept album from 1978 won't necassarily work in a CGI action movie.

Thanks. I also found a video clip of the Ben Liebrand Remix of The Eve of the War.
The Tempest is an advanced assault vehicle, which carries two heavy Heat-Rays and a Canister Launcher.

Don't worry about it.
Definately not the trailer.
Iyt's got live actors in it for a start, which I think spolied the live show a bit.
I hope he doesn't decided nto use live actors in the CGI show.

That was one of the better bits of footage. They even did something to the red weed picture - like the picture you did. It was the same thing.
Whoever voiced Carrie was a bit crap.

It was. Which worries me about the CGI movie. Because she did spoil it for me with that wooden posh Victorian accent. I hope she doesn't do the movie and I hope Jeff has been watching movies like The Incredibles and Shrek and is aiming for that standard. What I saw of the animation used in the show, (non of which may be used in the movie) had knocked together feel. It lacked dynamics and physical presence. There was no real detail in the environment. Poor shadowing etc.
If he's going to get critical acclaim for this project then he needs to employ the best and spend a lot of money. I wonder what his demographic is?

Lonesome Crow wrote: The graphics we have seen and that we know are from his CGI film look great so far. WOTW is his Golden Goose, he would be daft to penny-pinch on a potential money spinner, but having said that there was his 'ULLAdubULLA II the remix album' (Best forgotten)
Those graphics we have seen are mostly test animation. here is the Tripod walking etc.
Whenever making an animation movie like this there is always potential for it to fail at the box office no matter how good it is. Jeff will have been told or already know this and that may make him be cautious with his budget. Just because you love the album doesn't meen that you will go out and by a CGI DVD of it or go to see it on the flicks.
The Iron Man is a classic British kids story read out at school. The Iron Giant was the animated version by WB and it was breath takingly good, had Jennifer aniston doing voice as well as Freddy prince Jr and it bombed at the box office.

Very true, but he's been successful with his album for almost 30 years now, each time he re-releases it, it goes strait to No.1 so there must be enough Jeff Wayne fans out there to give it a good head start at the box-office.
And the thing about The Iron Man I think is, it's a very English story and a lot of people like myself get fed up of Hollywood Americanising everything, they can't even keep the same title, it's like 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' they called it Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' because the American kids wouldn't know what a Philosopher was, so what's wrong with learning a new word for God sake. OK I've had my little rant I'm all better now.

They had to change it to irin Giant because of the Marvel character Iron Man. WB own DC and Marvel owns Iron Man so it had to be.
Pete Townsend produced it by the way.

He's owned it for many years that's why he was involved the making of the movie.
I met another liverpool writer recently who now lives in London and he worked on the Radio version of Pete's Lifehouse project and this writer now has the rights to do a live theatrical production of Quadrophinia. Bit of trivia for you there.

Hi there.
He hasn't finished making it yet. It is supposed to come out in 2007. He had some footage from it in his live shows. Or at least simmilar footage. He is releasing a DVD of the live shows soon. So that will include the animation from the show. But like I say the animated movie is still in production.
