The new Martian Tripod kit from Retrokit is available at last! Based on the Alvim Correa design, here is a finished model at the French site Modelstories:

Cheers 'McTodd'
It's a fair representation of Correa's design (although I have never liked it)
I think they could have used a more competent model maker to assemble the kit, it looks a bit rough. :a009:

Well, it isn't a publicity shot from Retrokit themselves (they haven't released any official photos), it's from the Model Stories site, which is run by a French hobbyist/enthusiast.

They got the eyes so wrong on this. I think the eyes are what make the original drawings so powerful.

This model is pretty good. I prfer the JW interpretations (drawn by Michael Trim), but I kinda like this one too.

The Tempest is an advanced assault vehicle, which carries two heavy Heat-Rays and a Canister Launcher.
