Haven't you heard of the Australian Sydney Funnel-Web Spider? That's a lethal sipder too. If there isn't antidote applied in time a bite can kill you.

Yes but strong adults should survive. Small children and the elderly are at risk. However you go through absolute agony. for days.
There was a scientist who let a black widow bite him. The idea was that he would let himself be bitten again once he had recovered to see if he had become immune to any extent. The trauma of going through the poisoning was so bad that he couldn't go through with the second bite.
The Funnel Web and the Black Widow are closely related. Grazing animals in America are imune to the bites of black widows.
Ever wonder why an animal so small that only needs a fairy low grade poison to kill its prey, usually insects, has a venom so powerful?
It is totally unessary for the spiders survival to be so poisonous and yet they are?????

I've heard that the giant millipede's venom is so painful and lasts so long that people have been known to hack off a bitten limb to escape the agony :(

In the Bond film where they put a tarantula in his bed and it crawls on him. Obviously its meant to be a more poisonous spider than a tarantula, well in the book its a giant millipede. I think its Doctor No.

I read somewhere that Vogon poetry is so bad that some have been known to gnaw one of their own legs off to survive it.

I once woke up in bed after a party and the lass next to me was so ugly, I gnawed my own arm off to escape!

If you are lucky the Vogon's Large intestine will shoot up through the body and throttle its own brain, in the interest of humanity #-o Sorry that should be Vogonity.

As for the spiders, I can't get enough of them. I've seen a lot of spiders thus far in real: Orb-Weavers, Funnel-Web Spiders, Spitting Spiders, Jumping Spiders, Tarantulas, Money Spiders...
