I personally think it looks great. A big step forward for Pendragon!

Also looks like there's another type of machine.

Sorry mate. I have a move topic option, but not a move post. Will investigate...

:? Can only see fighting machines and a handling machine Loz, which bit are you referring to. :-s

The handling machine that walks into the house seems different to the one we've seen for ages on the picture. Its silver the other is black and seems smaller.

I'll paste my post here about what I thought.

At least its looking like its going to be finished. It has very poor special effects and poor design. The acting seems very hammy and those English accents are awful.
I'm looking forward to seeing it but I know I'll not be seeing what I had initially hoped for.

Looks like our chap doesn't go back to London in this version..

there it is Lee no worries, now I'll edit it out of the other one.

What do you think of it Lonesome?

Lepper, I'm waiting!

As you said, the acting is hammy.
when I saw the CGI FMs I thought it looked very jerky like poor quality stop frame animation, but I noticed the actors were also very jerky so it's probably just the low grade resolution.
some of it looked OK, but some looked very poor like the FM destroying the village and the cylinder shooting towards the cottage.
Maybe I set my expectations too high, but I expected better than this. Sorry :a009:

I agree. It feels a bit empty to. Think of the Title. War of the Worlds. That says epic to me. Lots of scared people running for their lives. Mass panic, mass exodus. I noticed they've lost the shot of Big Ben.
And why are the martians dropping dead in the rural areas and not London?

I have a map of Victorian London and Primrose Hill is a bit like that, but you should see some houses in the distance, about half a mile of uninterrupted common land is the max.

Fair does. Doesn't havbe the feeling of having being occupied by Martians for weeks though.

Have you noticed as the tripod moves it's tenticals seem static, and none comformative to the laws of physics?

The Martian looks quite good in design but, poorly animated.

And isn't that the Curate being menaced by the handling machine? If so why is he concious and by a window?

Well were the hell did that spring up from.
Looks pretty good, I know the effects are a bit poor but come on guys what did you really expect. At least we will have our own version.

I cant wait two WOTW films in the same month, me is feeling very spoilt :)

And the asylum one.

This isn't the film that I want. Its an attampt at a film that I want. And I'll have to wait and see it now to really judge it. But more than bad effects, which as a Doctor who fan I can accept, I can't stand bad acting.

And the acting in that trailer stinks! :(

I expected more. He claims he had a budget of 12 million dollars. I can't see what he's spent it on. :a009:

I've watched it quite a few times now and the whole thing seems odd and off key.
It could become a cult classic.

My girlfriend and I watched the trailer, we both liked it a lot. But I don't think the dude with the moustache helps much. That does look very fake!

It's not what I expected at all, But at least he's had a go at the original story.
The stop frame sequences look like early Harryhausen stuff from 50 years ago.

I'm still going to see it though...Pendragon still need our support on this for trying to film what we've all been waiting for (For years).

I don't like the "string of sausages" for the tenticles though.

I haven't wanted to see a crappy looking/sounding adapation of the book. Judging from several of those scenes, it's not even all that faithful. You're better off using your own imagination for visuals.

I think the dude with the ridiculously fake lip hair is the Journalist.
