Strange british fantasy/Sci Fi flick. Had Tucker from Grange hill and that bloke from the Carry on films. Bernard Bresslaw, as a Cyclops.
The best bit was the Giant Spider.

I would have said it was the worst film ever made, but then I thought of a small independent film maker who made a rather bad version of 'The War of the Worlds', I can't remember his name though :-k

I had many dissapointments with the film but I still love it, and it is a classic. The spider animation is very good and frightening. I was a little kid when it came out, who was mad on Dungeon and dragon's role play games, Tolkien, and the Fighting Fantasy Game books by Peter Jackson and Ian Livingstone. So anything set in this sort of world got me going.
It also didn't pull its punches. The bit where the Cyclops is crushed was very gruesom. I seem to remember there was a lot of death in it.
