Thoughts on the film? Have you seen it? What did you think? Did you like the first 2 new ones? Better than the originals?

It was much better than the first two. As a standalone film it still isn't a "great" movie.
Its worth watching, I may consider a second viewing.

to be honest I dont think it made much sense in the context of the whole Star Wars saga. For instance the Jedi tried taking over the galaxy which is surely against everything they are supposed to believe in.

Mostly a bad film for me. The fight with Yoda and Sidius was good as was Anakins and Obi Wan's But how we are supposed to feel sorry for a man who massacars children face to face in cold blood is beyond me!

Saw it and loved it. Definetly the best of the prequals. Purely opinion of course but I think it's as good as the originals. I liked the other 2, but not as much as the originals. The Obi-Anakin duel was incredible! Definetly the best duel I've ever seen. Yoda-Emperor was cool too.
Spoilers!
I suppose we're supposed to feel sorry for Anakin because he's being tricked into doing these bad things. He does it because he wants to save Padme, so he does it in anyway possible. Enter Palpatine. He tricks him into thinking the Dark Side can do it, which is ironic because it's the Light Side that does it, not the Dark. Palpatine begins to work his magic on Anakin by also feeding him the story of how the Dark side is a lot better and how the Jedi want to take over. So Anakn is fooled into also thinking he's doing the right thing.
