Germany's Constantin Film and its genre production company, Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt's Impact Pictures, are preparing for a fourth installment of their successful "Resident Evil" franchise before the third film in the series has even begun shooting.

Constantin head of production Martin Moskowicz said that the third film, Resident Evil: Afterlife, will shift locations to shoot in Australia, with principle photography planned for November or December.

Resident Evil 4 will be set in Tokyo, and Impact/Constantin is looking to shoot the film in Japan. "Afterlife" will be set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun with mutant zombies. The film will play in the Nevada desert with the Aussie outback standing in for the American wasteland. In the final reel, the action will shift to Japan, setting up the fourth edition.

Milla Jovovich is set to reprise her signature role as Alice though no formal deal has been signed yet. Paul W.S. Anderson is finishing the script for the third edition. He directed the first Resident Evil and wrote the sequel Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

I've got the first two on DVD. I didn't even know about a third one let alone a forth.
Cheers Lee.

Has anyone played the new Game Cube Resident Evil? I've been thinking of buying a game cube just to play it.

That dude does the series no justice. The 1st movie was okay. The 2nd one.... #-o ](*,) :a093: What is he thinking?!

Get a Cube for the other RE's. RE4 is coming on PS2 later, and it'll come with a lot of extras. I'm a little bothered by that 'cause I bought a Cube just for that but meh.....I enjoyed the REmake and RE0.

I'm more fond of playing games on the PC...

The Tempest is an advanced assault vehicle, which carries two heavy Heat-Rays and a Canister Launcher.

Good to hear that it is coming out on PS2. I had the old games on the cube and N64.

Yep, I own most RE games. I'm a big RE nut. Have you played REmake and RE 0?

I actually prefer the second movie. Top notch action sequences, plus it's got a nice Escape From New York vibe.

Russell Mulcahy, director of The Shadow (1994) and the first two Highlander movies, has signed to direct Resident Evil: Extinction.
