Post subject:  My WOTW animated cartoon

Hi,

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I made a WOTW animated cartoon for the opening of the Paramount WOTW film tomorrow. Check it out at..

I would appreciate feedback.

Best,

OK, I've changed the ending and added one more test for the tripod. I've also made a high res (whopping 56Mb) version and a low res (7Mb) version.

Sorry it is such a big file. It still isn't as high res as I would like, so I will mess with other formats. Glad you liked it. I might make another one but this was principally for my fathers birthday. I've got some ideas for Otto and friends, so I will get round to it one day.

No matter what, I still liked it. I didn't know the Martians could also be funny.

Wow !! That's so good Ricky...Very clever and so funny.

Are you an animator or do you work in the games industry or something..

The humour is very similar in style to the Warner Bros cartoons , Road Runner etc. Please take that as a highest compliment.

I hope you do more.

No, I'm a biologist. I do that stuff in my spare time. I actually made it for my father's birthday. Glad you liked it. Someone else in the lab said it reminded them of a Warner Bros cartoon. I think that is what I was aiming for..

I'll see if I can't do some more, but work is a bit of a pain and it takes a bit of time to do the animation. I can do 1 minute sections every now and again but it might be better to wait for a month or two to get another 5 minute cartoon ready. I've got some ideas for Part 2.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys..

Yes when the tripod goes over the cliff, I expected to see a little cloud of dust mushroom up :D

I did think of that, but I wanted to get the tripod head-down into the dust.

I quite like the tripods and think there is a bunch of things to do with them. Anyone has any ideas them PM me and I'll see if I can include them..

Sorry about long delay in answering...I've been off work a few days.
Yeah, Lonesome is right, I only have access to a computer during working hours.

Ricky mate you're picking up the "Lingo" over in the States.

"BUNCH" is the only collective noun that Americans use.
I once heard a U.S. Sports commentator say that there was a "Whole Bunch of fire" coming out the back of a racing car...

I'm very pro America though, Ricky , I'd live there myself if I could.
