Hi Guys!

Just joined and I'm a lloonngg-time WotW fan. Read it when I was about 13 years old (waaaay back in the 60's) and have read it about once every two-years since then. Its one of my favorite books to read during hot summer nights. Also enjoyed "Global Dispatches" very much and I have a digital collection of WotW art and fan fic that I've collected on the Web.

I'm going on 52 years young (yeah, right), married with one son, who is now teaching English in Hiroshima, Japan (he's 25). I live and work in the Denver area and have been a technical illustrator since 1975. Actually, most of my work is engineering isometric drawings and civil engineering plans.

I have 2 prairie dogs as pets (both rescues from abusive owners) and had one guinea pig who passed away on the 29th.

I have numerous ideas about alternatives to the original WotW novel that prolong the global war and a few ideas about sequels to HG's "First Men In The Moon".

Well, I'll be looking forward to your relys and comments.

Chuck

Hi Chuck and welcome.

At last I'm not the oldest on the forum :D

I myself have dabbled with paint and brush in the past and nowadays I dabble with a mouse (computer Mouse that is, I wouldn't want you to think we Brits are weird)

sorry to hear about your guinea pig, but glad to hear about your prairie dogs.

Love to hear your Ideas about alternatives endings to WOTW and sequels to "First Men In The Moon". I have a great illustrated copy, by Bob Eggleton one of my favourite artists.

My favourite Wells' novel (after WOTW) is "the Time Machine".
