Post subject:  Hi all!!! I suppose I should have done this ages ago...

I am Falath Rusc... known by many names, I am!!! Falath Rusc is Tolkien Elvish for Shore Fox.

I live by the sea, I am a professional musician (composer, singer, song-writer and programer) with BIG ambitions.

I first heard the Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds album when I was a very young child and it scared me poopyless! And I've been hooked on all things Sci-Fi for as long as I can remember. I have a particular penchant for vintage Sci-Fi telly, including programmes I watch religiously as a kid... (well, even more of a kid than I still am ;) ). EG:- "The Tomorrow People", "The Children of the Stones", "Sky", "Chocky" and "Children of the Dog Star".

I reckon WOTW is the best album ever recorded and, though a fan of the original, still have time for many of the remixes and I also love the PC game.

Oh and I am an androgyne... living proof that sex and gender are two different things! :)

Heylo all!

So are you a Tolkien fan as well?

I remember "The Tomorrow People", I can even remember the Theme tune, 8-[ But not the others. was "Chocky" John Wyndham's "Chocky"?

Very true  What did you think of Peter Jackson's three films?
I'm a big fan of LOTR and I thought Jackson did an excellent job with a very complex book.

Well 'see' was the wrong word for music and 'anxious' is also the wrong word. but as English is not your native tongue I think we'll have to let you off

Hi. Have just joined the site and yes, the album really terrified me when I first heard it. I was on my own in the house which probably didn't help. Have you seen the stage show. I have the DVD of it and it looks very impressive.

I also remember shows such as "Sky", "Chocky" and "Children of the Stones". Unfortuantely I missed the final episode (how typical of me) and only found out what had happened years later. Wasn't it co-written by Trevor Ray. He was assistant script editor on "Doctor Who" during the Patrick Troughton/Jon Pertwee regeneration? It also had Gareth Thomas who's notched up several cult TV credits: the Doctor Who audio drama "Storm Warning" and an appearance in "Torchwood" as well as "Blake's 7".

Someone told me that Iain Cuthbertson who was in "Children" and who is better known as the father in "The Railway Children" was dead. Does anyone know about this. I've been meaning to check but haven't got round to it. Does anyone know?

All the best

I was going to buy the stage show on DVD but one of my brothers said he was getting it for me, for my Birthday, so I shall have to wait another month :(

I have been watching "Torchwood" and I'm sorry to say I've been disappointed :a009: Maybe my expectations were too high :-k
