Post subject:  A Worthy Cause
Well, im sure youre all aware of the recent terrorist attacks in London, and equally im sure youre all aware of the determination of Britain's people to defeat the cowards who performed them. There have been many fine expressions of our defiance of the terrorists however my favorite is a website called We Are Not Afraid. Its web address is www.werenotafraid.com. On the site are some great pictures all expressing one slogan - We Are Not Afraid. The site has become extremely popular and has pictures from all parts of the world opposed to terrorism, not just Britain. I think we should have an Eve Of The War "We Are Not Afraid" logo to add to the site as well as our one (if Lee wouldnt mind obviously). Unfortunately I lack any sort of computer art skills at all so I have to ask if there is anyone who could do it willing to take it on?

How does "We Had Worse From The Martians, So We're Not Afraid" sound

Any one got any other ideas for a slogan? I don't want it to sound flippant.

no that sounds perfect, if you have a look at the site many of the pictures are designed to be funny. That slogan with a fighting machine and an Eve Of The War logo or something like that sounds pretty good to me although I am sure you can come up with an awesome design of your own :D I do really like that slogan though =D>

i prefered "We had worse from the Martians" as a slogan but that still looks awesome, and im glad you used your own fighting machine design Lonesome, that adds a real flavour both of yourself and our forum.

They say it could take a while before an image appeares as they are receiving about six pictures every minute and they have to be checked first of course

indeed, i heard about it because it managed to make the national news a day or two after the attacks (the site was set up only a few hours after they happened) and I have been trying to think of a suitable thing to add to it ever since. Eventually I settled on the idea of us submitting a picture because of how diverse the people who have submitted pictures have been. I think a group like ours fits in well to a big picture of people.

oh by the way, i understad why the address had to come off but did you manage to get something on saying who it was from?

Sorry Leper the Submission Guidelines were quite strict they said

Images that imply revenge or attack on those responsible
Any image which we believe to be overtly aggressive and not in the spirit of our statement of fearlessness.
