nothing can stop them! an army of cockroaches is marching up the coridoor in my halls of residence! all efforts to stop them are doomed! anyone got any ideas for halting this unstoppable enemy short of nuking the building?

Aerosol and lighter normally burns their little feet of and they can no longer go anywhere.

Nuking would be a bad idea. Cockroaches are one of the only animals that would proberbly survive a nuclear war. <br />They are one of the most modern insect groups. They can survive without their heads and still mate headless and lay eggs. They have back up brains in their legs.<br />They are notoriously hard to remove from buildings. If you stand on a female she'll quickly lay eggs.<br />Pest controle will use poisons but it will take time.<br />I suggest you grow to love them and study them as a man studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. They are incredible survivors and adapters.

Tell me if they begin using sticks.<br /><br />Flamethrowers are fun, but you cant use them in wooden buildings though...<br /><br />If you have a neighbor on the other side the wall, small tunnels could make it a shared pain. Small holes in the wall made with a knife wont be noticed by the neighbor.<br /><br />Strychnine (I think thats the english word) is a fun poison. Its victim's every muscle is stretched to the limit, leaving them with a morbid grin. I wonder if it works on bugs? The result would be hilarious...
