I'm getting a new PC sometime next week so I will be busy cleaning all the old stuff off this machine and setting up the new one so if I disappear for a while you know why.
I'll be back.

I am finding it hard to comprehend something worse than take that splitting up. after al the split gave us Robbie Williams!!!!!!

Yoko Ono...I rest my case.

Hmmm. I think Yoko Ono is a very talented song writer and artist, who turned John from an inward thinking male Chauvinist into an outward looking, femmenist and political activist. He also found the only real happiness and sense of belonging he ever felt in her arms.
The braek up of the beatles didn't give us Yoko Ono. It gave us John Lennon. It allowed George to finally record all his great songs that he'd been stockpilling because John and Paul wouldn't let them through and it gave us Wings, which were a fantastic band and some great stuff from Ringo and ended a beautiful, prolific, inovating, unbeaten body of work at exacatly the right time.

You know people say Ringo was a bad drummer. he had his limitations. But he was perfect for The Beatles. Anything fancier than his drumming on those records would have ruined it. Lennon often asked drummers to cut the fancy stuff and play like Ringo on his solo records. And no one can sing Yellow Submarine better than him!

He was also the most popular Beatle in America when they first went over there. He also inspired some of Lennon's best songs with his malapropisms. Such as A Hard Days Night and Tomorrow Never Knows.

You haven't upset me at all lonesome...I was just throwing in a bit of lighthearted trivia...I agree with your comments though Loz.

Incidently, When Liverpool Airport was renamed John Lennon Airport...Ringo was asked to comment on it.
He said he would have settled for a baggage carousel being named after him...He's still got his scouse humour.

He he. I'm tempted to buy his new Solo album. Macca's is great. He actually won a signed copy of Ringo's by ringing into a radio station in New york recently. He was made up and said that it was just what he wanted.
