LMAO

Truely a great picture. I was going to retire from this forum, but if you are going to keep posting all this fabulous art then I'll keep coming back for more.

And Oever if you can't see the other 38 Morlocks in the picture then you need to get your magnifying glass out like I did. :-k

Are they THAT far in the distance? Obviously it was 'Paint the Sky with Morlocks' for Lonesome instead of 'Paint the Sky with Stars'.

I counted 41. If you look closely enough the other one is Sven Gorren Erricson, the England soccer manager.

:-s Which one? I'd never heard of Sven back in 1994 when I painted it.
But that's the funny thing about time travel, maybe I'll paint it in, in the future. :-k

Just discovered this particular thread, so I'll put my two cents in. My guess is the Time Traveler went back to the period 800,000+ years in the future to try to chance things a bit by rescuing Weena, and possibly also killing a Morlock and bringing its carcass back. (Remember, before disappearing, he promised the narrator that he would bring back a specimen to prove he had traveled in time.) But because he had already been in that particular time, he was destroyed by some weird natural phenomenon that exists to prevent time paradoxes and the changing of history.

Yes 'Loz' has already suggested that in a previous post. and I said "He (The Time Traveler) tries that in the excellent sequel 'The Time Ships' by Stephen Baxter, with disastrous consequences."
Because he told his tail to that group of men around the fire, his story got out and as soon as the mankind realized they were heading towards the disastrous conclusion the traveler talked of they tried to steer history in another direction, but it all went wrong, or did it? :-k :D Read the book to find out.
