they tried that in the 53 film, but it failed due to the rioting.
they had martian blood which they could use to generate a germ that was only lethal to martians. the one we have could cause the same problem as in stephen kings the stand or omega man.

And James Herbert's '48, thats about a blood virus the Third Reich release as a last attempt to win WW2, one of Herberts best.

What ever's best for the story, WOTW isn't what I'd call an action packed book but it's by far my favourite :D

That's true. WOTW is by far the best, no matter if others think otherwise.

I love the concept of '48 to. Just before Hitler commits suicide in his Berlin bunker, he sends a wave of rockets over to England with a labatory super germ in them and it wipes out most of Britain instantly. Peoples blood thickens until they die. Some are imune and some die more slowly. The slow diers are ruled by Britians own version of a Hitler.

In an alternate Timeline of Star Trek, with the aid of some aliens, Hitler even invades Amarica! Washington DC andNew York have fallen, but the Enterprise crew restored the normal timeline. This took place after the Xindi Superweapon had been taken out (in that course). The prototype of that Superweapon killed 7,000,000 people, when it created a swath of destuction between Florida and Venezuela! :a103: :a103: :a103:

Wow, I'd like to these episodes they sound fantastic. Very traditional. The origional Star Trek Series had Nazis in one episode.

It was in the Enterprise serial, the parts with Jonathan Archer. It was in the third season (or fourth). Anyway, you should check it out.

I think it was.

Actually, it wasn't. The Nazi one (I don't remember the title of the episode) was about a renegade Starfleet officer that recreated the Third Reich on another planet. The Joan Collins episode you're thinking about is "City At the Edge of Forever", where the Enterprise crew stumbles across a time portal, and an accidentally-drugged McCoy passes through it and changes history by keeping pacifist Collins from being run over by a truck. As a result, she keeps the US out of World War II until it's too late (i.e., until Hitler has atom bombs and long-range missiles to deliver them). Not all that much in the way of high-tech gadgetry in this one, and yet it's one of the best "Star Trek" episodes (of ANY of the series) ever filmed, and not just in my opinion.

Most Star Trek fans, according to the Star Trek wiki Memory Alpha, chose Twilight (in which Earth was annihilated in the alternate timeline by the Xindi Superwapon) as the best episode...

I didn't watch Enterprise, I'd had enough of Star Trek by then. Sounds like I missed some good stuff though. Oh well, such is life. :|

When I was a little boy of 9 my mum went into hospital. My Dad tried to take me for a visit and Monkey was on. I loved the show and wouldn't go. This upset my mum and I've regretted it ever since. But boy did I love that show. It was the episode with a dragon in it.

I never make that mistake, no matter how much I liked a show, the needs of my family outways it by far. One of my favorite hows is the Benny Hill show. I never missed an episode of it, but one, but one of my uncles died that day, so I went, together with my parents to my aunt to support her.

You have to remember back in 1979 there were hardly any good programmes on tv. Just 3 channels, and no videos. Well the rich had them and we were poor. So to miss the show would have been very painful. My mum was only in for two nights. If anyone had died I'd have probably dragged myself away.

I never had difficulties like that, I was born in 1986, and my parents already had a tv with video and radio with casette, cd and LP players. I got the first computer when I was around 4 years old.
