No-one knows how to deliver a big-budget blockbuster quite like Steven Spielberg, so it's no surprise that his contemporary re-telling of HG Wells's War of the Worlds was a huge hit in cinemas earlier this year. With Tom Cruise playing a father battling to save his family - and humanity - from predatory aliens, the film took some $582m at the box office.
Now, it's arriving on DVD in a suitably blockbusting double-disc special edition. As well as the film's exhilerating stunts and effects, the package feature interviews with Spielberg and Cruise, making-of documentaries and a look at the enduring legacy of HG Wells's original novel.
It retails for £24.99, but 10 lucky FilmUnlimited readers can secure a copy for free. Not only that: the first winner out of the hat will also get a suitably futuristic star prize of a 30GB video iPod.
