Hey Everyone,<br /><br />The new Paramount War of the Worlds film has swept Britain and it is already being advertised on radio stations and film critic television shows. <br /><br />But, What I really want to know is, what is the truth about this film?<br /><br />On Radio 1 a few days ago, the War of the Worlds was dubbed one of the best and the MOST Expensive film ever made in history.<br /><br />Other shows or advertisements back this up, and yet others seem to believe that this is not true and it isn't as high-budget as many people make it out to be.<br /><br />Whats going on here? |

god keep it away from this island.....<br /><br />i have to say i hadnt noticed that they had started pushing the film here yet. im sure that when we get closer to release day it will be shoved down our throats in proper old fashioned "this is our film with lots of explosions and threadbare plot, you will pay money to see it, you will love it but more importantly you will tell all your friends you love it and go with them to see it again, then you will buy the DVD when it is released, possibly you will also be required to buy a special edition DVD release as well, minimally different from the standard release" style<br /><br />as far as this monstrosity's budget go, it had the largest pre-approved budget of any movie in history. i think some films such as Titanic have had larger budgets develop over their production but never before has a film had so much money just initially approved. |

for my part, remove the title WOTW and i might be a little less hard on it, but whilst it claims its a version of WOTW "monstrosity" it remains

Theres room for both films and whatever your tastes both will have something to offer, something we haven't seen before.<br />After years of empty promises and if's, buts and maybe's we have what we have all been waiting for but you can't please everyone,.<br />lets just wait till we see both movies in there complete form, then the speilberg/hines camps will be able to really go at each other. <br />personally i'm more excited about the jeff wayne cgi version with the music we all know and love.
