According to Netcraft's data, the Web site for the forthcoming movie "War of the Worlds" was performing at dramatically lower levels on Monday morning, suggesting that there was a surge of "morning after" visits.

The Web sites of other prominent Super Bowl advertisers, including domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (godaddy.com), did not experience any significant performance problems. Go Daddy paid $4.8 million for two Super Bowl ads.

According to some estimates, approximately 145 million viewers watched the Super Bowl.
