I have just finished rereading War of the Worlds for the first time since I was in elementary school in the early 1960's. Much of the novel is concerned with the series towns, villages, and hamlets through which the writer and his brother pass in their respective adventures during the two weeks or more of the Martian invasion. I would be very grateful if someone could create or direct me to a set of maps of southern England showing these routes. It would be interesting to go on tour visiting these in sequence.

Sorry I can't help you there. There is a Tripod Statue made of metal in Wokeing. I suggest you go there. Maybe they have something of a guide at the Tourist Center.

I just took a look at the map, and I couldn't read the text that marked the placed of events.

No I know, I think it's a computer Route map and when you pull back too far the names of towns and villages overlap each other. as I said its not very good :a009:

I have no idea, but my brother has a copy of a program called 'route finder' and I know if there are two towns or villages too close together, then the names overlay one another, just like on this map.

On my computer I have an encyclopedia with an World Atlas included. In that atlas I can zoom in and out and look at different places. By each place I click on is an article...
