Hello to you all

The forum needed to be upgraded to the new version of PHPBB, so we could at least turn on registrations again and hopefully stop the spammers

I have also moved it over to my own webspace, as it can be looked after better here and is cheaper to run :D

To upgrade to the new version, I had to do a conversion on the old database, seems like the posts are ok, the members seem to be there, most images are ok.

I know the avatars don't work and I can't fix this, so you need to go to your profile and upload it again. If you have lost it, then let me know your username and I should be able to email it to you...

Any other issues, please least them on this thread. I will try and get to them when I can. If you can't logon, then email me at info@eveofthewar.co.uk

it's great to hear from you again.
Everything appears to work alright on the forum, it's going to take a little while to find where everything is but I should have it all in a day or two.
I'm going to have to redo my signature again as it no longer blends in with the background, I don't know, no sooner do I get it right he goes and changes the forum again, every three years it's the same [-X ... :lol: just kidding mate it looks great and it's good to have the writing back on the left hand side of the screen rather than down the centre.

Looks like things are working ok for a first attempt :)

Sorry about the redo of the signature, I haven't looked for any templates, so you might want to hold off on the re-design for a minute.

Also sorry about the regular 3 yearly change :D

That answers a question I had not got around to asking, I tried it yesterday and it would not work but I thought I was doing something wrong. :oops: I should have said something, sorry.
