:a103: WOW! =D> As soon as I saw that first pair deathjester1 & deathjester2a I thought 'The Court of the Crimson King' By 'King Crimson' and I love that middle one, 'Picture this' there's so much going on, each time you look you see something you didn't see before =D> very much like a Patrick Woodruffe painting.
Is that Mick Jagger eating the winged worm thing?

=D> Nice work, you certainly have a talent for the weird and I mean that in best possible way :D

I can't believe I've finally met someone, even if it is in cyberspace, that knows of Patrick Woodfruff. I am influenced by his work, and Bosch too, as he surely must have been.
Could be Mic Jagger!!!
Here's another, I had to do it in two halfs and put them back together in Photoshop. But when I was fine tuning, trying to get it exact, it moved to much, and turned out to be impossible. Oh well. That's as close as i could get it.

Watch out for the Blue-meanies, a strong Yellow Submarine influence in that first one. I like the green operatic insect (Bottom right) in the second picture, they are both very strange and both fascinating to look at.
I like the way a hollow of one image forms the outline for the next image, again very much like Woodruffe or even M.C. Escher. I believe I even noticed a little bit of Rodney Matthews' influence in Acid Man, am I right?
Once again great work Loz =D> I've started printing yours out now.

Thanks again.
Someone else mentioned Rodney Matthews on the CBR Forum, where you should defo post your Invason Comic, It'll be viewd by thousands. Some threads by artists have over 20,000 views.
Mine's already over 200. And I only posted a couple of days ago.
But I don't know Rodney Matthews work, what did he do?

Good closeup work =D> Is this another character from 'JOOCE' ?
I particularly like the highlight effect on his hair.
and is he wearing white gloves? or was the picture unfinished?

Yes you are right Matthews did do the Elric covers, he uses airbrush and coloured pencils in most of his work, I think that's why your work reminded me of his.

Just a character though he may have ended up in something. He is wearing white gloves but I couldn't pull that off without making it look unfinished. There is subtle shading. I was going for Mickey Mouse type gloves but never referenced a Mickey Mouse picture in conjunction. Pretty silly of me really. I should have tested a few shading techniques out on a test page. But I never did things like that. Just got on with it and that often meant a balls up.

 That's what I like about working on the computer, if you do something wrong you can just hit the undo button a few times and try again.

Any more? :D

This piece is obviously done on the computer but do you do a rough pencil sketch first and then scan it into PhotoShop and fill it in there? or is it all done on the computer from scratch?

I find it easier to rough out an idea on paper first, but faster to colour in the scanned image in Paint Shop Pro.

I can't draw for sh*t on screen. So I pencil and ink it first and then scan it in. This is an old ink drawing that I found. And I quickly coloured it in photoshop last night. It was fun and I ended up turning it into a valentines day card for my girl.
