Which leads one to wonder... how do you plan to handle human Dialogue?

Will they speak plain English, and be understood, but ignored?

Speak plain English, and make no Sense to the Martians?

Speak in the most rediculously exaggarated English accetns known to man, leaving the Marians baffled beyong belief?

Speach bubbles full of random symbols which ammount to the Martian's take on Human language?

Or just have the humans muted, only speaking offscreen with their intent implied by Dialogue between the Martians?

I have given this some thought, as this is the Martians account, of WOTW, I think the human's dialogue will just be meaningless symbols to the Martians.
As you may have guest the chap with the bicycle is Ogilvy, I know there's no mention of his bicycle in the book, but he did have one, honest. 8-[ OK it was an excuse to introduce the wheel into the story :?

Well, it's the UK C. 1905... If you didn't have a Bike you had a hourse, carridge, or in the rare case one of those new-fangled automobiles.

Though I still think this is the funniest option for portraying human speech:

Your so good to us. =D> \:D/ =D> \:D/ So clever. I'll be printing all this off and making it into a comic to show folks. =D>  So bloody funny too. Is that you playing Ogilvy?

Yuri stop trying to lead Lonesome into doing things your way. It is insulting. It's like your saying it's good but I'd do it better, which you wouldn't. :-$

I've got a short play on in Cambridge, which is on now. I've been working on that before hand. Going to rehearsals etc.
I have BBC Radio 3 commissin for a Radio Play which I've just completed the second draft of.
My theatre commission is about to go into it's seventh draft. Been working hard on that.
I've also had to make sure I've been watching every episode of Eastenders, Holby City, Casualty and Doctors as I've got an interview coming up with a view to writing for them and I've a very demanding wife and a 22 month baby girl on top of all that. So coming here has suffered.
But obviously I can't post any of it here because it's not War of the Worlds. And some of them are long.

Cheers Klaatu :D I hope you don't mind me using Stan as a psychotic, cannibalistic, Hannibal Lecter type character?

No, not in this form, these Martians where designed for laughs, they are too nimble, they have proper hands and their tentacles are much too thick and meaty. if I were to do a proper WOTW Martian illustration, I would follow H. Gs description as close as poss, although I am pleased with the translucent quality of the skin on these Martians.
