I love the Venus mistake. I bet there are more to come. I bet their food supply wasn't meant to be crushed by our atmosphere either?
What's going on with the xenomorphs?

No there's nothing wrong with their food supply, that's where Mr Wells got it wrong [-( Venuses atmosphere is equal to 90 of Earths atmospheres that's why the cylinder lid pop off like a champagne cork  so the crushing power of Venuses atmosphere would be 90 times greater than that of the Earths.
Most of the Martians troubles are caused by the cylinders initial heavy landing, Bob's incompetence and being on the wrong sodding planet

And the xenomorphs serves two purposes: the first, they are a temporary distraction (as you will see very soon)
:Secondly, they are Stan's little secret.

And yes there are more Venus mistakes coming up.

"Indefatigable" was the word, as I recall. Incapable of being fatigued.

Heating the air it passes through to the point at which it becomes a plasma, and hence glows. Like the flame of a candle, or the surface of the sun.

Yes but all the Martians died, it wasn't the bacteria that killed them, it was over-work, they probably met you lot :x

I no longer point the spelling mistakes out, I just correct them in the quote box before posting back

Yes I know the air would ignite, but Wells did say the beam was invisible, but It looks better to add a bit of pyrotechnics  otherwise the viewer wouldn't know why the crowed of people suddenly burst into flames.

But he mentions a flash as the weapon is fired, likeley that of the air lighting up for a split-second. (which just so happens to be the one at which your pannel was drawn. )
