The original animation I put together was 24 frames long but it wouldn't let me set it as an Avatar because it was too big (your Avatar has to be under 30kb) mine was way too big so I had to cut it down, so now it's only 11 frames long and the pic quality isn't as smooth as I would have liked.

What?! What kind of place is THAT to take a break?! MORE! WE WANT MORE! (Pretty please!)
SPOILER AHEAD!
Seriously, I was wondering if Sharon would blast the Thunder Child, thinking it had killed Bob; looks like you're setting it up for that.
SPOILER OVER!
I noticed that the crew of the Thunder Child seems to employ giants. Man, those old Navy boys were big! (Artistic license, I presume, in keeping with this being a 'cartoon' of sorts?)
Oh, I noticed you used a Penguin class ferry for the one scene, based on the mast location relative to the funnels...
Insert witty, yet philosophical remark here...

I knew it was the "Thunder Child" from the second picture it was in (the scene where Bob asks Stan if it's really humans shooting at them). The light guns in the foretops were a dead giveaway. A really great piece of work.
Oh, and it's not ENTIRELY a cliffhanger, is it? As in the novel, the walkers can be destroyed even by Victorian-Era field artillery, and Stan's walker is being fired on at point-blank range by a pair of 12" guns on a battleship that is also on a collision course with it. Since Bob bailed out safely, that'll make two walkers down; the only question is if he'll drive Phil's walker for him or if Phil's walker gets busted as well, with everyone hitching a ride back to the worksite (for the return cannon, remember?) on Sharon's machine. Aside from seeing Stan get his just deserts, there's not a whole lot I'm panting for in the next batch. (I never liked it when the "Thunder Child" went down; I always get watery eyes listening to Jeff Wayne's musical account, and even when I see the cheap CG recreation in Hines' movie.) The only other thing worth waiting for will be the reunion of the two separated lovers, Bob and Sharon.

Oh, you reckon it's Stan's walker the guns are aimed at? I'd not thought of that You could be right

Hey fantastic. I've been waiting for this but been held back by work. I like to have a good look without a rush.
One of the best bits yet, as it is in the book too.
I noticed you've started to narrate here. I don't think you need it. Keep telling it through the Martians perspective. I think it would work better if one of the Martians was recounting the story to a newcomer. Just my thoughts. The sudden narration seemed out of place and at odds with the style. I'll go and check if you've been using it all the way through.

You use it in the flashback of the wheel disater sequence but other than that it's usually the Martian's log on the rare time you use it.
Just going back over some of it was great. The martian who invented the wheel hanging from the tree is brilliant. I didn't remember that.

Yes you're right it suddenly goes from an account to a narration, I think it was probably because I wanted to get across that it was the 'Thunder Child' but I suppose I didn't really need to do that, did I? ](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif) What else could it be? Loz wrote: The martian who invented the wheel hanging from the tree is brilliant. I didn't remember that.
Oops, I obviously didn't make that very clear either.
The Martian hanging from the tree wasn't the wheel's inventor, it's the heckler from the crowd, the one who said he didn't like the colour or the name. which is why he says at the end "It's just as well I didn't tell them what I thought about the thing's shape" I obviously need to work more on the scripts a bit more.
