Post subject:  WOTW's music problem

I have justi tried to play war of the worlds on Windows XP but with no success then i tried the no cd patch and it worked, but the downside to this is there is no music on the game.

Would it be possible for someone to make a fix for the exe so it will play with the cd?

I've got the same problem. All I can do is play the music using the Media player, but that doesnt make any difference. Nevertheless, my game runs excellent.

how do you play the music using the Media player?

That's very simple, as soon as the Human or Martian cd is in my cd drive, then I start Windows Media player and it immediately gives me the playlist of the cd, so I can double click on one of the songs to play.

You can play the music on both discs in a normal CD player. Just pop it in and go straight to track 2, from that track to then is the music. Track 1 is the game.

I once did that, and it sounded great. However I'm not doing that anymore. I don't want to damage either the data or the entire cd.

I play mine all the time and no damage to the data.

You can't damage a CD by playing it on an audio player, it only reads the data, it won't write to it, it can't. Even if you played track 1 (the game program) it would either not play it at all, or it would play it but you probably wouldn't hear anything. But it won't do any harm, trust me :D

That's what I know, and I want to play it on my cd as well, so I let my uncle made copies of the cd, so I can keep the original safe, and use the copies to listen music on.
