I had no troubles at all. Only the teeth at my underjaw had to be cleaned, that's all.

I'm sorry Lonesome, no one wants your dentures yet :(

But when I'm 50 and you're 200 and I have cavities I'll ask my dad to buy them from you... :D

I'm currently busy on a project to create an mp3 cd with my favorite hits, and different versions of The Eve of the War and other songs of Jeff Wayne are included. :D

Hey, I like ALL the drawings of FM's, no matter what their quality is. Drawing a Tempest should be a bigger challenge...

I really dislike the Tempest for the simple reason it has four legs. I can't understand why the designers gave some of the machines four legs. It spoils it.

They obvioulsly realized that carrying two Heat-Ray Generators ánd a Canister Launcher would prove to weigh heavier to carry. I bet the forth leg was placed for leg support. Hey, why don't we give each a grade for the Martian Machines. On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 1 being useful for building up the base only and 10 being thé machine for offensive and defensive purposes) I give the Martian Machines the following grades:

Tempest - 10
Fighting Machine - 9.5
Bombarding Machine - 9
Electric Machine - 8
Flying Machine - 8
Scout Machine - 8
Xeno-Telepath - 7
Scanning Machine - 6
Constrictor - 5
Handling Machine - 4
Drone - 3
Digging Mechanism - 1

I very much doubt that Oever. Why not then give it five to keep in with the odd numbers? No it's just lack of thought on their behalf. Wells gave the Fighting Machines 3 legs and the Handling Machines 5 to make them appear more alien as no creature on Earth has evolved odd numbers of legs.

As soon as you give any new machine an even number of legs you've serverely watered down the whole effect.

Hey Sam you8 forgot to mention the Bombarding Machine for your rating. It has two legs, another mistake for me. But a good unit in the game as is the Tempest.

Right, the only five-legged machine is the Xeno-Telepath, and both the Handling and the Electric Machine have six legs.

Ah, so I did, Loz! I'd give the bombarding machine in the actual game a mere 5, but the machine with quick agility and the capabilities of the bombarding machine in the video clip when the humans are destroyed would definitely get much higher!

I don't think he's going to. so I shall, this is the first painting I did of my FM design, I don't like it now, there have been many changes to the design since I painted this one:

The body is now larger and the Hood smaller.
The Hood has now got the protrusive lower section at the front to give it a thuggish appearance.
The upper section of the side legs are thinner now.
And many more smaller changes.

still a great picture though. But you have defo improved on the overall design since this one. I like he perspective. Is that bridge the same one Smaug fell on? In your Hobbit painting?
