Have you ever considered using the emoticons? they are there to help express your feelings  If you don't know which ones to use, place your cursor over one of them and a little word pops up telling you what the little face means, it's realy very simple :D

Stress and nervous tension are now serious problems in all parts of the world and it is in order that this situation should not be increased unnecessarily that the following facts shall now be revealed in advance: I've got the Collector's edition of Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds. \:D/ but someone got a slightly bruised ankle. :a103:
In order that some mystery should still be preserved, no revelation will yet be made as to who's ankle got bruised. this fact may saftly be made the subject of suspense since it is of no significance what so ever.
I was awoken on saturday morning by my brother hammering on our door, when I answered it he said "if you still want the collector's version of TWOTW get down to spin-it "(spin- it is our local second-hand record shop). So I got down to spin-it and sure enough in the window was a large 12" X 12" book with that all so familiar cover and a price label of........ wait for it.....£30 I burst into the shop half scaring to death the old lady who runs it, Praying that she wouldn't die before I made my purchase, I asked (stupidly) "how much is that TWOTW album in the window?"
"How much does it say it is?" she asked grumpily.
"£30" I replied.
"Then it's £30" she said acidly.
"Can I see it?" I asked.
"Yes of course you can, stand outside and look through the window  " This is obviously an old joke for her.
I looked at her in amazement and wondered it she treated all her customers like this, or had she been saving all her venom up just for me, then I remembered I had burst into the shop like a loony and stood infront of her asking stupid questions, so I calmed down and asked "may I have a closer look at it to see if it's in good condition pleeeaaase : :a093: " I asked through gritted teeth, it was supposed to be a smile but I just couldn't manage it at that moment.
With bad grace she got it out of the window and handed it to me saying "It's £30 because it's got 3 CDs in it" my heart sank, only 3 CDs. she opened the front cover to show 2 CDs and 1 DVD.
"that's why it's so expensive" she snarled at me.
Now normally I am scrupulously honest, but this woman had pissed me off and any charitable feeling had gone out of me. because as she opened the book to show me the 3 discs in the front cover, her thumb lifted up the pages of the booklet and I saw, for a fraction of a second just 1 of the DCs in the back of the book.
"I'll have it" \:D/ I almost shouted. and reached for my wallet. :a103: ... and realized, to my horror, in my haste to get to the shop I had left my coat and WALLET at home. I thought quikly half an hour to get home and half an hour to get back, anything could happen in that hour, she may sell it to some unworth person :a010: (someone who doesn't appreciate TWOTW as I do), she may discover the 4 CDs at the back of the book and increase the price, what should I do? Whilst I stood there like a lemon she had put the album in a carrier bag.
"Ummmm, can you hold it for me? I'll be back shortly with some money" I asked. [-o<
She scowled at me and began taking the album out of the bag.
"I'll only be an hour I said" in desperation. 8-[ [-o<
She started walking towards the the disply window.
Just then the door opened behind me, someone else wanting to buy MY album I thought. :a009: but no it was my brother,"have you got it?" he asked.
"Not yet" I replied.
He began to say "Are all sev................" he stopped saying "seven" because I had just kicked his ancle, he was wearing motor bike boots so it wasn't very effective, but he got the message.
"Can you lend me some money" He could and did. \:D/
I spent the whole of yesterday listening to my new purchase, I haven't seen the DVD yet,I shall save that for later. :D
If the old woman had been a bit nicer I might feel guilty but she got the £30 she asked for so I don't think my conscience need worry me too much. [-(
It can be revealed now, that it was my brother who got the slightly bruised ankle.

That's your story. Well, I took it a lot easier. When it came out, I went the day after (Tuesday) first for the Free Record Shop at the St. Jorishof in my town (St. Jorishof is the main shopping center in Ridderkerk) to place an order. Unfortunately, they cannot order singles, albums, video's, games, dvd's and all that in one piece, they must order it by larger numbers. So, as kind as they were, they said to me to go to shop which CAN order/deliver albums in one piece at the time, one of those stores being Music Store, which had a settlement nearby. So I went over there, and they could place the order for me. I paid € 10,- in advantage, and the waiting process began (it takes a week for an order from the store to be delivered there). So a week later, my mother got the salesman of Music Store on the phone, with the message I could pick it up. So directly after work I headed for Music Store, paid € 50,- and also handed to the salesman two cd-coupons of € 25,- I got from my company earlier, so I fullfilled the payment of € 108,- I had to pay. So since then I have my Collectors Edition.

My story is a little different. A few months before it was due in the shops I noticed some activity on Mars through my magic telescope. Green flares were erupting from the Martian surface, and spurting out into space in my direction. Over the next few weeks, invisably hurtling toward me, was a missile propelled by some unknown means from that acient red planet. Then with a flash like summer lightning this missile from Mars crashed into my garden. When I came to see it, there was a huge creater, and in the midst of it a cylinder of some considerable size. The top began unscrewing, rotating and I feared there was a peanut inside trying to escape. Then the lid fell off, a mass of tenticals appeared, and lifted what I can only describe as a large pulstaing Ken Dodd like creature, anyway it threw the box set at me, pulled the lid back on, which didn't rescrew propperly, which just goes to show Martian manufacturing aint what it was and dug itself into the Earth. I ran up stairs and Imediatly put on the Parson nathanial, the song that didn't make it.
I've played the whole lot now and it is beyond fabulous, and I now also have a huge hole in the garden which goes right to the center of the Earth, but that's another story....

I have just watched the DVD, there are a lot of CGI images, does anyone know are they from the new film or from the PC game? Because the quality doesn't look that good :a009:

Oh' I didn't say it before but my copy is not in perfect condition :a009: there is a slight indentation on the back cover, but I can live with that. after all I did save over £50 \:D/

They're from both. Most of them are from the CGI Movie, but some fragments, (like a Fighting Machine blasting the train to bits and the Martian Elder Chamers) are from the PC Game.
