Ok. Ignoring amazon because they are just plain wrong and still do not have the UK release info up yet.. The 2cd set seems to be the same price from anywhere, its on play.com now and on virgin megastores, the same price as on the official site. £15.99 The collectors edition is on the virgin site for £57.99. They have the RRP down as £69.29 (10% reduction). The cost on jeff's site to pre-order is about £73 ish after postage but you do get that wonderful signed montage poster included in the cost (usual cost £29.99), so basically you pays your money, you takes your choice... Personally I am quite happy paying for the jeff wayne site one (and I already have), as I am getting the montage poster chucked in but more importantly, the money is going directly to Jeff Wayne, not being syphoned off by the store, then the distributor, then sony, then jeff getting a tiny bit at the end. I think we owe it to the man who has given us so much joy over the past 27 / 28 years. Ste. |
