I listened to the album again last week and woundered why Jeff introduced us to the Martian's tripods at Weybridge and Shepperton and not 'In the storm' like in the book (I think that is such a dramatic scene)
He could have realy let rip with the instrumentals, creating a storm :twisted:

No idea other than time and impact I would have guessed. The Weybridge battle in the album was a massive section and the revealing of the machines before hand would have taken away any of the dramatic impact.

Yes, but I feel it would have been an even more dramatic impact in the middle of a raging storm, I can just hear Burton delivering the lines.
But I suppose Jeff knew what he was doing after all its been a popular album for over 27 years.
