If a concert version of The War Of The Worlds was to be made, what would you like to see upon the stage - visuals, music, performers etc, etc

Another musician I am a fan of is French composer and performer Jean Michel Jarre (Oxygene 1976). His live shows are world famous for the lavish laser lights and his trade mark 'custom' built instruments. Now, something like a live version of TWOTW with its lavish set designs would benifit 'if' for visual effect, custom built instruments could be used.

Below is one of Jean Michel Jarre's custom built 'over the shoulder' keyboards. When I saw this I thought of how alien looking it was, a perfect example of something that could be used onstage at a TWOTW concert



Imagine large intruments customised like this, some alien in charactor, others with the human appearance.

Customised intstruments would be a great idea. A drum kit made to look like Martian machinary.

Did you ever see the work Roger Dean did for Yes concerts? Very organic.

I'll tell you what would be a really cool idea though. Having the red weed somehow grow on stage during the concert. A bit like the build up of the wall in the Pink Floyd The wall concerts. but actually have it grow, and later change colour and recede.

The Martian creature appearing out of the cylander would be very doable I think. Plus the Heatray rising up out of the pit and incinerating the audiance, with Holographic fire, would be amazing.

I have plenty more ideas but I'll wait and give the others a chance.
