I've heard that there is going to be a WotW concert in Surrey, in Leatherhead, sometime in July.

I live near Leatherhead and was wondering if anybody had any more information.

Thanks,
Yam

Hi Yam

Here's a link to a site that may help http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/artist/945224/?search_redirect=jeff%20wayne&tm_link=tm_header_search
Just put in the name of your town and it will find the nearest WotW concert and it's date.

Ah, I've heard about this one.
It's at the Leatherhead Theatre on 6th/7th July and it's a concert by the Kingston Youth Concert Band using the score from Jeff's album.
If you want to find out more, the Box Office number is 01372-365141

There's now some cool fliers around where I live advertising for the concerts. I understand that not only does it feature a youth concert band, but a choir and rock group too, with the score faithful to Jeff Wayne's original. I've also heard that tickets are selling fast, and they're not too expensive, I'm looking forward to it! :D

Hi Yam
As a member of Kingston Youth Concert Band, who is one of the bands involved in the production, I can oficially say that this is going to be great, and a one of its kind production! We are really looking forward to this, especially as Jeff Wayne's tour was so good. The performances will be on 6/7 July at 7:30pm at The Theatre, in Leatherhead, but I just wanted to say that, as a member of the band, I can't wait!

Our conductor has spent that last 18 months at least arranging Jeff Wayne's score for a concert band and rock group, ensuring that it stays faithful to the original. It's gonna be a great concert for all, especially TWOTW fans who won't have heard it played live without any string players or synthesised effects!

I'm happy to answer any more questions, and hopefully any of you guys that turn up will enjoy it and have a fab evening, I know I will!

I'd like to get hold of a CD of the sound recording if you are doing one please?
