Hey Everyone,

The new WotW disc is recorded also in 'SACD' format. I really want to hear the music on SACD format, but I don't know what to play it on... I've looked up in my DVD manual, and it says it plays SVCD, and HighMAT Level 2, aswell as CDs. Is this the same?

SACD is the Super Audio Compact Disc. There are indeed DVD Players/Recorders who support that format. I have to ask my uncle if it's the same of what you meant. I listened the entire album yesterday by my uncle in the SACD format, and it's very exciting!

Cool, so if I play the WotW on my DVD player, it'll play as the SACD format?!

As long as your player supports it, then yes. :D

Most DVD players are not SACD. It'll say on it if it is. You also have to have the surround sound speakers. And for the intended experience, they have to be positioned in the four corners of the room and one above or close to the tv. Then you have to get in the middle of them. Basically it is like the old quadraphonic sound systems that never really took off in the early seventies.
