Here are a couple more rarities from my The War Of The Worlds musical collection.
Mobile Display
I bought this 2 years ago off 'Ebay' for a bargain price of just £10. I have only seen a couple of these in all the years collecting and I still have not been able to find out when they were released. The logo and Fighting Machine image appear on 'both' sides of the cardboard. The couple of times I have been in Jeff's studio I have noted a couple of these hanging from the ceiling.
'New Files 1995' Poster
Many of you will have in there collection the 1995 CD release of the CD album that contains the 4 'bonus' tracks. When it first came out in 95 it was titled 'The New Files' and the above poster is one of the scarce shop displays. Sadly when the store 'Our Price' decided to remove the display poster, they simply ripped it from the wall, damaging the poster. The only other '95' display item I have is the large album 'logo' cardboard window display (seen in this section). I have never seen anything else or heard of anyone else having any items for the '95' release.
1979 'Dutch' Boxset
Again another Ebay find and again only costing £10 and again yet another bargain. This is one of the very sort after 'Dutch' album boxsets that was released in 1979. The red textured box was copied from the UK 'black boxset' released that same year, but this is more charming. Unlike the black boxset, this one had a hinged lid and was a lot more stronger in design. Inside was the double vinyl, artwork booklet and a red textured (like box cover) hardback version of the book (in Dutch with English album logo on cover - no picture). If your offered one of these, dont turn it down.
