Yep, that's me. :)
The novel will be available at all good online bookstores worldwide and to order in normal bookshops in all territories asides from the UK, initially.
Not sure about bookhops in the UK currently because of the confusing copyright position in this country (you will be able to order it online, though) but it's something my agent and I are looking into. I'm hoping that, because its a new work inspired and continuing from HG's novel that there won't be a problem. But we don't know for sure yet.
Release should be by the end of this month, I'm just waiting for my printed approval copy which is due sometime this week.
If you want to know more about what the book is about, I'm working on a website to support my writing work. It's under construction but has a fair bit of info about the novel already in place.

I like the preview, and look forward to seeing the whole thing!
Ah, funny how the Government always sends one 'nice' guy and one 'distant' guy to get heroes to do their bidding, isn't it? Classic setup.

Oh, and what's this? Another sequel in the works, set in 1914? Hmm...

I also enjoyed 'Neptune's Warrior,' the story of the Thunder Child. I'd like to print that off & insert it into my copy of The War of the Worlds. (It would make a great afterword, since the 'flow' of Wells' Narrator's tale doesn't really allow for another narrator telling his own tale to be inserted into the body of the novel. But that's not my point; I really enjoyed the story, and shall likely always bear it in mind when re-reading the book!)

Insert witty, yet philosophical remark here...

So, to be clear, may I print off a copy for my own personal use of that Thunder Child side-story? (I referred to it as "Neptune's Warrior," but I realise now the actual title on your web page is "A Strange Document.")

Oh, I also just noticed & viewed the YouTube clip/advert you've got posted. Nice touch!
I must order the book soon...

A lot of good, or at least popular authors had to self publish there own first novel, Such as Matthew Reilly He couldn't get any publishers interested in his first novel 'Contest' so he self published and it's not been out of print since and now the guy's worth millions, with seven or eight successful novels behind him.
And the same goes for Christopher Paolini he started writing 'Eragon' at the age of 15, no publisher was interested so he self published and sold them on the street to passes by and now he's a very rich young man.
We shall all keep our fingers crossed for Nerfy aka Tony. :D

Back before Christmas 'Nerfy' asked if I would like to submit a cover design for his next book "The War of the Worlds: Remembrance" He has kindly given me permission to show the mock-up cover here.

Best of luck Tony. :D

I love that design, it's perfect. Even has the Martian visible driving it. Which I love.

I bet he's over the Moon with this. Certainly a lot better than the one on Aftermath.

Wow and wow again. Love it.

Oops. What a coincidence. They even have your crow - http://www.heavymetalmagazinefanpage.co ... hot03l.jpg - did you spot it? traitor!

Funny how it's supposed to be a sequel to the book but they mention mankind has rebuilt the cities of Earth, when the Martians only attacked London and it's surrounding towns.

Looks good though.

Any chance you can capture the image and post it here?

Here is the close up shot of the Martian.

Love the close up. Little leavers are brill. I already checked it out on that other site. Brilliant.

I'd like to see a more box like heatray though as described in the book.

Why didn't you use your usual martian tripod design? I'm just interested. This is more traditional than your older ones. I don't mean the comic ones.

Yes I know the one you mean, Two reasons really the first is; that is my design and I have a bit of a soft spot for it. And secondly; As I'm writing my own sequel to WotW I may be using it myself (I haven't decided yet).

I know you like the old traditional Wellsian description of the Heat-Ray and the "seeing the Martian in the hood" and to a certain extent I do too, but there are several thing in WotW I have never liked (may God forgive me 8-[ ) and the description of the Heat-Ray is one of those things, the way the tripods walk is another.
I would never go as far as to have a fixed Heat-Ray like the one on the cover of Jeff Wayne's album, but a box just looks silly in my opinion.

Another excuse I could use for not using a box like type of Heat-Ray is; Tony's second sequel 'Remebranceis' is set 14 years after the original story, the Martians have improved their designs over the intervening years (they probably got fed-up of people laughing at their Heat-Ray generator  ).

Fair does. I think Wells' version of the Heatray was inspired by the old Cameras. I have seen box versions here and there by other artists but rarely.

Yes I think you're right, I believe he even describes it as "a camera like box".
Here's a classic one I'm sure you've see before. it's from the 'New Windmill' edition.
